PPCC Cheif Meets CLP Leader Channi, Promises Full Support

Patiala: Congress Legislature Party leader Charanjit Singh Channi and chief whip Navtej Cheema today met PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh at the latter’s New Moti Bagh Palace.

The meeting assumes significance as Amarinder had backed Sunil Jakhar for the CLP post. Captain welcomed the appointment of Channi and thanked Congress president Sonia Gandhi for reposing confidence in young and promising leaders.

 He also hailed the appointment of Bharat Bhushan Ashu as deputy CLP leader and Navtej Cheema as chief whip . “I assure full support and cooperation to the three young leaders all of whom have been assigned important roles by the leadership,” he said.
