Envied Queen Bey: Beyonce's Trainer Shares Gruelling Workout Behind Her Incredible Tour Body

She has one of the most envied bodies in Hollywood and as she prepares to embark on a gruelling world tour, Beyonce is looking better than ever.

Before heading off on her Formation World Tour, Beyonce enlisted the help of personal trainer, Marco Borges, to whip her into shape.

And now, the fitness guru has shared the workout that Beyonce swears by and says if you perform it three times a week for six weeks, you'll no doubt look and feel as good as she does.

Sharing the regime with Glamour, Marco explains that the popstar loves boxing and swinging weighted ropes to build her endurance up.

The athletic star, whose curves are world famous, also does plenty of sprinting to get her performance-ready and performs one-minute sprints followed by two minutes of power walking, alternating this for thirty minutes.

'Sprints are ideal for building stamina and explosiveness, which B needs to move across the stage,' he said.

The mother-of-one tones her entire body with a move called the kettlebell squat-and-press, which involves holding a dumbbell by your chest and squatting so low that your elbows touch your knees. You then come back up, raise the dumbbell above your head and repeat.

To tone her legs, she swears by single-leg step-ups, and limbers up by stretching her entire body after her workout.

As for her post-workout fuel, Beyonce sips on a smoothie made with pea protein powder, almond milk, frozen fruit and spinach, which, says Marcus, helps her muscles recover.

In May last year, Marco Borges released the 22-Day Revolution book based around a whole-food plant-based diet, which bans meat, eggs, dairy, alcohol and processed foods for 22 days - the length of time it is thought to take to build new food habits.

Beyonce, 34, who admits to having yo-yo dieted for most of her life, is such a Marco Borges evangelist, she claims it whipped her into the 'best shape' of her life, and wrote in the book's foreword: 'The truth is that if a Houston-born foodie like me can do it, you can too. You just need to try it for 22 days.'

Beyonce, who was raised in Texas, embarked on Mr Borge's regime in November 2013, along with husband Jay Z, 45.

'Our hometown favourites were fried chicken, fajita tacos, BBQ burgers, BBQ rips, fried shrimp, and Po’ boy sandwiches,' she says of her youth, adding that her food choices were 'silently sabotaging' her health.
