The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's 'RoboSimian' exploded at Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory on June 14th, the agency confirmed. According to Lynne Lee, the laboratory’s mishap program manager, the explosion packed the power of a stick of dynamite. The batteries are the same type, lithium-ion, that caused Samsung to recall its Galaxy Note 7. 'If you notice where that fire came out, it was exactly where our researchers were standing,' Lee said in a Nasa video explaining the incident. 'It could have been a very bad day.'
