Nokia 5 Clears FCC And Receives Bluetooth Certification

Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 initially announced at the Mobile World Congress 2017 are tipped to launch next month. 

However, the refreshed version of the iconic Nokia 3310 will launch by the end of this month. HMD is yet to confirm the launch dates. But, looks like the speculations are going to prove true, as HMD is seen heating up for the launches now.

We say that as Nokia 5 clears the FCC certification in the US. Earlier, the Nokia 5 along with Nokia 3 received Bluetooth certification as well. With both the Android smartphones coming to the limelight quite often, we are bound to accept the fact the launch date is nearing.

The FCC certification reveals that Nokia 5 will come with a model number TA-1044. To recall, this model, along with three other which includes - TA-1053, TA-1024 and TA-1027 were also spotted in Bluetooth certification. No details about these three models have been revealed as of now. However, the FCC certification shows that Nokia 5 (TA-1044) may come with dual SIM support set up. No other new details about the Nokia 5 have been highlighted.

Going by the specifications a few details of the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 have already been revealed by HMD at the MWC event. It that regard, Nokia 3 will sport a 5-inch full HD display while running on Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone will further be powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and boast an 8-megapixel camera on both the rear and front.

On the other hand, Nokia 5 will be a top-end version of the Nokia 3. The smartphone will come with 5.2-inch full HD display and be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. On the camera front, Nokia 5 is going to be the same as the Nokia 5 with 8-megapixel rear and front camera. Differing from the Nokia 3, Nokia will be running on Android 7.1 Nougat. Well, on the storage front, both the Nokia Android smartphones will feature 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage.

A report leaked last week suggests that HMD is going to launch the Nokia devices only in 120 markets at the same time, which is going to be around Q2 of 2017. Well, no details on whether India is included in the list of 120 countries or not.

Ahead of launching the Android devices, Nokia is allegedly going to launch the refreshed version of the iconic Nokia 3310 phone. The smartphone is expected to come with a 2.4-inch display, a 2MP rear camera and a microSD card slot. Further, the device will be backed by a 1200mAh battery which comes with the ability to deliver 22 hours of talk time and 30 days of standby time. Nokia 3310 (2017) is also going to pack iconic Nokia 3310 snake game as well and will run on S30+ operating system.
