The water helpline was not working and it seemed the whole system had collapsed, said a retired officer, who lives in Panthaghati.

The residents have started fetching water from “baolis” which were declared unfit for human consumption.

These “baolis” are located in Chakkar, Tara Devi, Dhobi Ghat, lower Sanjauli, Dhalli, lower cemetery, Maliana, Shanag, New Shimla, Vikasnagar and other places.
