If you are waiting to buy the McLaren edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro then you should better hurry up before the stock ends up.
This is because OnePlus will no more be releasing its limited edition of McLaren themed phones. The partnership between the McLaren and OnePlus that was signed in 2018 has ended. The British car making company confirmed this in an email to Android Authority.
“Our partnership with OnePlus, which came to its scheduled conclusion recently, has been a highly successful collaboration between two iconic and innovative brands. Since the start of this partnership in 2018, OnePlus has been a supportive, valued partner and we wish them well and hope to see them in the future,” read the email.
The rumours of the partnership ending first came last week when it was noted that OnePlus was no longer listed as the 2020 F1 partner on the website of McLaren. The end of this partnership means that the company will no longer be releasing the McLaren edition of its flagship like it has been doing since 2018 when the two companies first signed the deal.
OnePlus 6T was the first smartphone to have its McLaren edition. The end of this deal also means that you shouldn’t expect the McLaren edition for the upcoming OnePlus 8T which could launch later this year but that does not mean that you should not expect a new special edition of the upcoming phone.
