Kabul: A loud blast was heard in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday by journalists, hours after US officials warned of the possibility of a terror attack.
A security official from the recently deposed government told media it was a rocket that "initial information shows hit a house".
A health ministry official told the BBC the recent blast was caused by a rocket that struck a house near to the airport.
The airport was not hit directly, the source said.
It is not yet known if there are any casualties.
US President Joe Biden has warned that another attack on Kabul airport is likely. All US citizens have been urged to leave the area, as the US continues its final flights from the country
