New Delhi: Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will lead the city's odd-even experiment tomorrow - he will provide carpooling in his official vehicle to two ministers- Gopal Rai, the Transport Minister, and Health Minister Satyendar Jain.

The Chief Minister's license plate ends in an odd number - which gives him the right to use his car tomorrow, the first day of a new trial that bans the use of cars on alternate days in a move to check the unprecedented pollution in the capital.

For the next two weeks, cars with odd-numbered licence plates can run on odd-numbered dates and those with even-numbered plates on the others. Get caught breaking the rules and you're looking at a fine of Rs. 2,000 with surveillance provided by the traffic police and nearly 10,000 volunteers.

Culture Minister Kapil Mishra plans to cycle to work tomorrow. Envrinoment Minister Imran Hussain intends to use an auto rickshaw to commute to the government headquarters on odd-numbered dates - his car has an even-numbered license plate.
Social Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar plans to ride a bus on Day 1 of the new rules.

Commuters who encounter problems are invited to use these two helplines 011-42400400 and 011- 41400400. They can also tweet @transportdelhi for information tomorrow.
