An impressive collection of photographs highlighting the environmental issues around the world is to be showcased at a famous photography exhibition in Kensington, London, next month. Sixty photographers were selected from 10,000 entries from 70 countries and the images will go on display at the Environmental Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society on June 29.

Some of the photographs in the series include photographer Faisal Azim's picture of three gravel workmen who can barely see as they go about their daily duties working in Chittagong, Bangladesh (top left).

Meanwhile, a man was photographed searching through rubbish while carrying two huge sacks at sunrise from behind the famous Taj Mahal in Agra, India (top right). Two workers were seen standing in a furnace - which belches out thick smoke - to make fertiliser and fish feed in West Bengal (bottom left). And Indonesian military soldiers were pictured wearing swimming goggles at Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar, Riau, Indonesia, on September 5, 2015 (bottom right).
